The building industry is essential for the reconstruction
and rebirth of Iraq in general and the Kurdistan in particular.
The latter is experiencing an incredible building boom, which
can be attributed to the presence of thousands of foreigners (petroleum
technicians, functionaries from international agencies, armed
forces). Right now the main demand is for all kinds of building

instruments and technology and all kinds of infrastructure materials.
The country needs to rebuild roads, bridges, railways, hospitals,
airports and seaports.
The lack of investment in maintenance during the last two decades
has resulted in a profound deterioration of the whole infrastructure.
Therefore, it is indispensable for Iraq to intervene in the shortest
time possible.
The Iraqi government, thanks to foreign investment, is determined
to completely restore the transportation network and thus to facilitate
the movement of people and goods. The fundamental objective is
to create the conditions for the country to recover a normal lifestyle
and reconnect it to the rest of the world.
